Yes, I take it and it really helps! Everyone is different of course. I was on 2400 mg. but am now down to 900 mg. Hope it works well for you. :)

Dear Vicki:

why would you go down from 2400 mg to 900 mg. for Neurontin? I am asking this question because my new doctor wants me to start on Neurontin, which has the least side effects (according to my neurologist) of most of the meds prescribed for TN. However, he wants to start with the dosage expanding each day, until it reaches about 2400 mg. He says I can go on less, but I always thought that your body becomes immune to a pain drug soon, so why start on high and then go down to 900mg. much lower. Hope you can explain.
