i have posted in the type11 group but i am feeling very sorry for myself. i have had 2 attacks in the last three weeks, each lasting for about 10 days each. my mood is really effected by it and i am taking longer to recover physically and mentally from these attacks. this weather is really not helping. is anyone else suffering like this?
I myself am having I guess what is considered an attack! Mine started about 10 days ago & I don’t see any relief any time soon! I have been to the er twice within these 10 days with no help! All they want to do is pump me full of pain medicine even when I tell them it doesn’t work!! I am in so much pain its indescribable. …I can’t eat drink sleep or lay down without pain! The neurosurgeon doesn’t believe I’m a candidate for surgery because the medicine isn’t working but why does he get to make that decision? I am so tired of pain and medicine and pills and sleepless nights! Whew…
i feel for you. it totally disables you doesnt it. i cant offer any advice really - all i can say is that i find a hot wheat bag against my head really helps and even if it is dark, i wear a eye patch to totally rest my eye. big hugs to you.
I had my third mvd, this time with rhizotomy, in 20 months on September 30th. I’m having a VERY hard time recovering from this one. I’m also having a difficult time coming to terms with the fact that the numbness I have is more than likely permanent. My ear is so full and stuffy with fluid in it and it’s driving me nuts. It makes me motion sick sitting still! I have the hearing of an 80 year old right now. I’m in pain from the surgery still, feel like crap, and am generally down in the dumps, so I can totally relate. This disease is such a monster. It messes with you physically AND mentally. Hang in there!
@mooretolove I suggest a new doctor! Find one that will help you!
My pain is worse at night. Pretty much after 3:00 the pain continues with no relief. By 8:00 I’m do wiped out. I usually go to bed. It’s very draining to have this every night.
