The right side of my face has gone completely numb…I can smile and eat and feel pressure on my face but temperature changes and pain I can not feel. Has this happened to anyone else?
Over the past 16 years, I've heard reports of spontaneous facial numbness in facial neuralgia patients. As long as you're not biting your tongue or cheeks, or having problems with drooling, then it might not be a problem for you in terms of disablement. It would be smart to report this to your physician, though.
Regards and best,

This is one of my main symptoms. It is especially numb around my eye (really strange when trying to apply makeup such as eyeliner!) and when I drink an ice cold drink, I can not feel the coolness of the drink on the right side of my mouth. But, only on the upper side of my jaw, I can sense the coolness on the lower portion of my mouth. I’m currently having a flare up and this symptom is in full-force. I haven’t had to deal with this is several months and it is driving me up the wall!
