I live in SW VA, 2 hours from Charlottesville VA (home of UVA) and 3 hours from Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC and Washington DC.
Any recommendations for neurosurgeon to do MVD? Dr. Fukishima in Raleigh has great credentials for all kinds of "skull based surgeries."

I have decided to pursue having my MVD done by Dr. Lim at Johns Hopkins, since he appears to be so highly regarded by many members of this site. Thanks so much for all of your feedback on him! I was initially inclined to go with Dr. Casey, but he does not take my insurance (effective Oct 1, God willing!) In the meantime, I continue to scour the site for words of wisdom... it is all greatly appreciated!!
btw... weren't the designers of this sight brilliant for making the post text large so we can correct all of our med-induced blurred vision before it goes out?! It has taken me 3 rounds of edits and I think I finally got it right. Alas! I think it's time to get off the computer and try to do something else. Oh, but wait, I'm kinda dizzy too. Let's see, who can I talk to on the phone. I think the pain is under control enough for that. LOL Wishing you all a productive day or at least enjoy doing something FUN!!
