Hi - Guess I should have posted my question here. Sorry about that!
So, what I was wondering is if anyone's nose runs when they are having pain or an attack? I get the most irritating drip in the left nostril (pain side) and so I thought maybe I'd find out if anyone else gets this too?
Sorry for the late reply, I have lots of issues with my nose running at all sorts of times when it shouldn't but never when I have an attack, so am afraid it's not something I can advise on, hopefully someone else will be able to offer you some insight to it though.
This is just the weirdest thing ever. I get so many stupid little aggravating, annoying, irritating things going on in my face, ear, eye, jaw- all over the place....and then we get into the whole pain issue. At this point as long as it isn't the ice pick in my ear thing I'll just have to deal.
Thanks for your reply and have a great day! Hugs! Sandee
Hi, I also get running nose, and sneezing attacks. It is most definitly associated with the GPN, but It doesn't really happen when I have an attack. I think it's a withdrawl symptom from the Lyrica. (I could be wrong)
My dependency on the Lyrica has increased, and it is less effective. I take 150 mg in the AM, and the second around 5:30 PM when I get home from work. By 3 in the afternoon, I'm feeling the Lyrica wear off. I take the meds when I get home, and as I'm waiting for the Lyrica to kick in, the pain has increased, my nose starts to run, and I get the sneezing attacks. Also a wierd taste that I can sense as I'm going thru this period of the day. The taste goes away after an hour or so. Sometimes my nose sometimes runs all day, and sometimes just for a short period of time. Sometimes on one side only.
We become very aware of how we're feeling at any "awake" moment, and experience some seemingly pretty crazy things with what we are dealing with.
In closing, I'm so glad that after 3 years I finaly thought about looking for support groups. I'm so glad I did, as now I know that I'm not the only one dealing with and experiencing what I've been experiencing. I don't feel as like I'm going as crazy as I did before, now that I found others. Thank you for sharing!
