Does a flare show up on MRI?

For my FIESTA, is it better if I'm having worse pain at the time? I was wondering if on a good day, the nerves and blood vessels would not be touching as much, or not at all. Then it would look like I had no TN or milder TN that needed less treatment?

Don't worry about that. While I know nothing about vessels, I do have a TN that is not caused by blood vessels, and have only once not been taken seriously. I am usually given excellent treatment, despite the fact that my scans are perfectly clean. (I have 6 branches affected and nothing showing on the scans). My last scans were actually taken on a horrble day, as the noise from the machine triggers me beyond belief.

This is not one of those conditions that is linked with drama queen tendencies, such as more vague conditions can be, and they will be able to diagnose you on patient history alone. However, they do have to scan you to exclude MS or tumours.

You had FIESTA or only regular MRIs? This doctor is good at will diagnose on patient history, but I thought it needs to be seen for surgery. That scares me if he is suggesting or doing surgery and can't see.

No, for surgery I think they will have to see, but I was never a candidate for MVD, so I don't know. I've only had MRIs, sorry my bad.
