I live in Ohio. I have been diagnosed with TN and occipital nueralgia. I have seen 2 different neurologists that do not seem to understand TN. They just prescribe me medication and and send me on my way. I see that there are doctors listed on here. All of them are pretty far from where I live. So I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions of which one that is on the list would be best for me to see. I just want to make sure that I get the right doctor this time.
I see Dr. Mericle in Nasville. Don’t know how far that is for you. It is a six hour drive for me. He actually specializes in TN. He is a Neurosurgeon. But he TOTALLY gets and understands TN. I really hope you find a doctor who understands THS disease.
If they are on the list - they worked for somebody here! I had to travel from Missouri to Michigan for my TN operation..... you go where you have to go...if you can!
Does he know bilateral, atypical, and other less common TN? I would like to see him if so. I have bilateral and can't waste time with doctors who think bilateral is too rare to have.
