I think TN goes beyond the face..... I think those nerves up there can be the cause of neck pain, upper back pain (between the blades) Esophageal pain, arm and finger pain and stomach pain. I had a cervical fusion done in 2005 over a snowboarding accident and my disk came out. Ever since then I have NEVER been the same. One thing after a other. At the very start of this nightmare I started feeling a weird feeling in my chin almost annoying really but then It would go up my face into my throat. Now its been a few years and my left side of my face, my jaw cheek,chin,temple,side of nose,ear, lips hurt and have that numb feeling. Always feel pressure in my ear and eye. And almost feels like the left side of my face is dropping down with shocks every so often. Those nerves... Glossopharyngeal, Vagus, Hypoglossal, Trigeminal cause alot of problems if they have been bothered in any way.
i've had nerve pain down my right arm...down half my back on the right(my bad side) and my neck for sure my right side feels so tight i'm always moving that side of my face it feels numb but i can feel touch i just wish it would release!
