Hello all,
I live fairly near to the Cleveland Clinic, and I am hoping to see a neurologist there. Does anyone know of a good neurologist at the Cleveland Clinic? I live in Athens, ohio (Southeast Ohio), and I am 4 hours away, but this would probably be a better bet than OSU Hospital or the Mayfield Clinic. Actually, I have already gone to the Mayfield Clinic where the doctor spent 10 minutes with me, told me I had atypical facial pain, patted me on the head...charged me the price of a new hot tub. Forgive me, I feel a little bitter over that.
Today I walked around feeling like someone had pummeled me in the face. I was so exhausted from pain. I ate some lunch, and mysteriously, the pain lifted a little. I feel better now, but I need to line up my pills and start swallowing. I still don't know if they are helping or hurting.
Sometimes I am worried I have ALS, mad cow disease, or some other scary neurological disorder. Really, I have been so depressed that I don't know how I can make it. I have three kids. Three tender hearts I need to be brave for.

My sister-in-law works at Cleveland Clinic in the transplant department. I sent her an e-mail today asking if she could forward along some names of neurologists there with a background in TN, face pain etc… I will post here once I hear back from her. If you’ve alreay found somebody there, there let me know, and I will e-mail my sister-in-law and let her know that she doesn’t need to ask around.
Hope I can help you out! Johanna
Hi Johanna,
Thank you! I have been assigned a neurologist, and I am trying to remember her exact name–her last name is Chinese like Yi, Li, Yu, Lu…I can’t remember
Anyways, I would just appreciate knowing anything she knows about the doctors such as who is best, for one! If she is able to give me any information, I’d appreciate it. In the mean time, I will try to find out the doctor’s name.
