Riley is the sweetest dog in the world. She was wild when I got her and terrified of everything for a couple years.
Sam is a maniac in the water, swims faster than a Labrador. We go to a cabin on the lake and she'll be in the water swimming around unattended for hours.

The day that Shindig got home from his surgery, he was sitting on the couch resting, and Riley laid on his lap the entire time he took a nap. He moved every so often to get more comfortable, and she'd thump her tail lightly a few times, give him one quick kiss, then lay her head down again on her chest.
Dogs are just the greatest.
