I, like everyone else am at my wits end with taking these medications. I am still having daily attacks, not severe, but nevertheless attacks. I wanted to try something different to try and get off of the medications. My Neurologist told me it was up to me but, he did not think I would get much out of it. He cautioned me to watch treatment length vs. outcome. Well, Ive been at it for 2 weeks now and actually have had headaches, sometimes blinding and attacks since Ive started. The chiro has changed up treatments due to this, but, how long do I continue? She is recommending a month but, I don’t want to continue to have increased pain. I also want to feel like I gave this a fair shot as well. Any recommendations? I never feel like I have anyone to “help” me make educated decisions. I have a great support group, that all says quit, but they don’t have TN! They don’t know what we put up with so, I need some input please and Thank You
I know people who swear by it, but it can takes weeks to work. On average I have heard 6 weeks.
Thank you. I guess the headaches, which are different than usual are just scaring me. Don’t want to add insult to injury.
Are the headaches completely "new" or are the headaches covered up by other pain issues? Symptoms can change with any course of treatment and its scary when it does. BTW if you have a chiro talking about a month, he is likely a good one.
Headaches aren’t “New” but, the frequency and intensity has increased about 1000%.
