Attachments will be pictures of my incisions after each of my surgeries starting with my sinus surgery in May 2012, then the first mvd in July 2012, second mvd February 2013, gamma knife May 2013, and finally my mvd with rhizotomy last week (sept 2013. It will only let me add three photos at a time so I will put the rest of the pics in a reply as soon as I post this. Please share your surgery photos and/or stories too! Let’s compare battle wounds lol

When you say that you had an MVD with rhizotomy does that mean that they cut the nerve this time? Sorry you're feeling so awful. Hope it gets better for you real soon. Laureen

Yup! They separated and cut the sensory nerve fibers only. They don’t cut the whole nerve. I look perfectly normal, but I’m numb. Waaaay better than the pain so far though, and I am already having some of the numbness subside. It feels like I have just left the dentist.
