Oh myyyyyyyyyyyyy … its so hot in Sydney today. Its 38 degrees, which is about 100.4 for you Americans!
I knew today was going to be hot, too hot to be taking doggies out to the park (thats my job!), so I pre-canceled most of my dogs for today.
When I arrived home last night our whole first floor had flooded. Water soaked brand new carpet. Luckily, as we are renting - it isn’t our financial responsibility. Although now we have no use of the lounge room, dining room and the kitchen is a mess (the hose on the tap burst under the sink). I am stuck up stairs with no air con. Can’t even open a window as the dehumidifier are on full bolt down stairs removing the water.
Anyhoo …
So I was discharged from hospital on Thursday. My Dr had put me on Voltaren to settle my neck down. It worked quickly and my neck feels great, although the pain still keeps coming. It hit me quickly on Saturday late afternoon (just as we arrived at IKEA!) and it started up again earlier today - although it only stuck around for about 5 mins today. Phewww.
My Neuro is suspect that my neck is causing my facial pain. But I don’t really agree. The face pain has been around for about 2 months before my neck pain started. The more I read, the more I think it is Occipital neuralgia as that can involve the neck to.
The Voltaren has given me yucky side effects today, that of the gastro type. Ew! So, I put in a call to my Neuro, as the pharmacist said to report any side effects to him as they can get nasty. I hoped on my Neuro’s return call I would be able to have a quick chat re: the possibility of Occipital Neuralgia although I missed the call! Darn! I was on the phone to the Real Estate Agent about the stupid flood. So I got a voicemail from him saying to try some reflux stuff. Why, I dont know. Im confused. Is that meant to settle my stomach or my pain? I tried to call back but the receptionist wouldn’t let me talk to him as he was with a patient. Fair enough! Although I dont think she was keen to get him to call me back either. Hmmm. They both said to go to my GP. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
In the mean time - I still have to do physio as my Neuro instructed. Problem is, I cant sleep till 5am basically each night, meaning I can’t work a lot, meaning its hard to afford the $70 X 3 sessions per week for the Physio. Its a ever decreasing circle! I need all three of those things, sleep, money and physio! hahah! Although each one cancels the other out! Ohhhh so kinda silly! Get it together Beccy - get it together!!
Must go and swelter in hideous heat and shrivel in to a little ball!
