Well, I am 2 weeks in...I got my sutures out yesterday and my Dr is very pleased with how things are healing! As far as the surgery itself..I knew going in I was in the lower percentage for things to work..he went over everything with me. I am stll having pain in the lower right side of my mouth and my ear, but it's not the constant it was before surgery. I am hoping it will continue to lessen as I recover. The goal is to try and get me off all the meds...weaning me off the Lyrica first.
This was quite an experience, Its been a long 2 years to get here. I feel I am blessed to have such great Drs that have helped me so much along the way. Right now..it a bit of a waiting game for me.
Be more than happy to answer any questions anyone has on the surgery itself!
Thank you all for your support..I read here constanlty...its such a comfort!
Hi Lori
Glad you’re feeling well enough to post, and that there has been some lessening of pain so far. Won’t it be marvellous if you can get off all the meds. I’m rootin’ for you.

Hi Lori,
Good to hear from you, glad to hear you are healing well.
I’m finding that this 2nd week post op, I’m way more low energy and resting more.
I too am having TN pain, deep within my ear as well as in my lower teeth. But nothing crazy, I’ve reduced my meds to almost nothing, so I kind of expected this, I’m hoping as things heal it goes away all together. But if it remains I’ll be ok with that.
It’s still early days for us…hope you continue to rest and feel better each day.
Thinking of you,
(( hugs )) Mimi xx
Lori - good news about your mvd surgery. Hope you continue to wean off meds. I have been reading some of the encouraging words from your friends and it makes me happy to know you feel the warmth of caring people. Take care, and continue to rest!
Happy for you surgery went well and that it appears you are somehat better. Lets cross our fingers for full and complete recovery. It does take abit for inflammation to quiet down. You seem to have a great team of doctors and that most certainly gives us strength to get us through and makes a difference. Keep us posted on your positive continjed recovery Lori.
Say alot of prayers that as time goes by you will be Pain Free!
