hi guys long time no see, since my last visit my TN has re-occured on several occasions, but only minor bursts. But recently on numerous occasions i keep getting problems with my teeth, they feel like they are wonky and dont fit properly, their not painful as such, more uncomforable, has anyone else had this? is it the teeth or the TN? thanks guys
You say the teeth feel as if they "don't fit properly"? Do you grind your teeth? Have you found yourself biting your jaw or tongue lately? Or is there just a generalized sense of not quite knowing where they are in your mouth (a very imprecise phrase, I realize)?
There is a symptom of nerve damage called "parasthesia" that sometimes produces such feelings of displacement or a slight numbing of overall sensation. If your sensation is generalized to multiple teeth at the same time, then the most likely explanation may be some additional manifestation of your TN or possibly a problem of your bite. Unless your jaw joint is clicking or you have distinct pain around the joint, I wouldn't automatically jump to a conclusion of Temporo Mandibular Joint disorder -- a much over-diagnosed malady, in my opinion.

hi Richard, the feeling comes & goes its normaly confined to the 2 back teeth on the top right side, they almost feel loose & badly fitting, this makes it uncomfortable, although not painful to eat,the right side is the same side as my TN.There is no clicking of the jaw though.Im off to the dentist on Wednesday for a general check up,so i may ask her to xray them, just incase its wisdom teeth, as iv heard these can start to come down & then retract again, best to try & rule out as many things as possible, kind regards Lisa xx
