Mimi do u take extra pain killers on top of anti seizure meds? The more I am reducing anti seizure the less effective everything else seems. It makes me wonder if all the pain killers do is cause extra tiredness. X

I’ve taken Advil on some bad days which sometimes works…all narcotic type pain medication I’ve tried in the past has never worked for me…if anything I’ve had horrid hangover type headaches from them…
So in addition to the anti seizure meds I use a lidocaine type cream called Emla and my trusty magic sack (microwaveable heating pad). That’s it.
Trust me if there was something that worked for me…I’d try it at least once!

I think the time release opiates are better than the short term. I started feeling a bit better about a month after being on 2x 10mg oxycontin and am now doing 2x 15mg/day . Seems to be better than the short term percocets I have. But when it's bad it's as if nothing helps. :(
