Well it finally happened - Terminated from work

I don't know whether to laugh or cry! After being on and off work since January, I was terminated from my job last Friday. MVD in January. Gamma Knife in July. So many meds I can't keep the list straight. Blood tests. Doctors appointments, over and over and over. I just want off this merry go round. I don't blame my employer. They have been as patient as they can, but they can't hold my job open forever. Now my husband wants to sell our beloved home in the mountains and move back to the city because he doesn't want me home alone up here while he is at work. ARRRGGGG!!!!! Sorry just needed to vent!!

Oh, I’m so sorry Hope!
Huge ((( hugs ))), Mimi xx

So sorry. TN just plain SUCKS! XXOO

Hope I’m sorry. Last week I just had to let my employer know I would not be able to return back to work, and had to terminate my employment with them. It was not an easy thing to do, and my doctor was the one along with husband to point that there is no way I can continue to work. I know it’s not the exact same thing but really I did not want to leave my job. All I can tell you is you’re not alone with that, and I’m sorry.

*hugs* i'm sorry for your woes... It's good of your husband to worry about you though, eh?

I'm having problems with my employer too....but as you said, can't blame them.

Maybe take a deep breath, relax, and look at the wonderfully long vacation you can have now! (i know, i know...sorry)

*hugs again*

I’m so sorry hope x

Thanks ladies. I am doing much better now. Found out that long term disability will pay me until I am 65 if I can't return to work. Was able to roll my insurance over to my husbands policy without any problems. Life goes on, I am finding that there is nothing on daytime tv, but I have more time to visit my elderly mom (I feel like a young vital thing around the 80 and 90 year olds at her independent living home :)) My oldest daughter jokingly says that I now have to step up the grandma duties. Luckily I can still drive and have mobility to move around a bit on my good days and that really helps keep my spirits up.

Hugs to all - wishing us all pain free days!

Hope,

Life goes on. Glad you are making the best of it. Good to hear you got long term disability to cover you.
