Thanks a lot of sharing such a beautiful things, I hardly held not to start cry.
Welcome to the website Stase! I'm glad you enjoyed the picture and poem. I will put it in the group "Art and poetry" also. Did you join any groups yet? Go up top of any page. Across the top are words like "Face Pain Info", groups, discussions, etc. You can click on groups and see if there are any groups that interest you. The face pain info has wonderful information! Red, Stacy and Gloria wrote that.
Bless you, Sheila

Thanks for warm welcome and advice! I have red almost everything in Face Pain info, I have to say that’s amazing work done here, I understand better my condition now!I am wondering why here isn’t any doctor joining this comunity?
I don’t know any doctors that care enough to join a support group, unless its their wife or husband or child who has it. Doctors don’t have much time for chatting in support groups I guess. Most of us study, then teach our doctors what we have learned because they know so little about TN.
I absolutely agree with you, the thought that doctors mostly don't have time and interest. Haven't thought about it. I see majority of this community are american people and I admire the way how you are fighting for your rights. That is characteristics of your mentality. I am latvian , and can't imagine myself to teach my doctor, I can do it of course physically, but I am sure of negative reaction of my doctors (and majority of them) when you as not physician will try to discuss the theme :( I don't know how to change that damn situation :(
No, there are actually people from all over the world here. The majority I have talked to are in UK. I am in Canada. In Canada and Uk and most other countries, doctors still think they are Gods and that they know everything, and how dare you tell them something new! I hope you can find a kind Dr. who is always interested in learning new things. If a Dr. stopped learning when he fnished medical school, then even 10 years later he would be far behind the science progress. Doctors MUST keep studying and learning. In USA they MUST take a certain number of classes each year to keep their medical license, but they also should be listening to the patients who have studied more about their own condition, because a Dr. can’t know everything about every patient’s condition. I print off research papers and give it to my Dr. They pay attention to research papers from well-known medical magazines or well known hospitals and universities, more than they will pay attention to just another patient’s opinion.

In Latvia doctors also have to ugrade their knowledge each year to keep their license. Hmm…your last sentence means that I can’t share information I found on this site…So you research only in well-known medical magazines, hospitals and universities ( in internet?)
I guess I am one of the lucky ones. My Dr. Dr Oskana Palatna from Dubois Pa is great. She takes an hour or more with me on each appointment. And when I told her I had swelling in my face and she said I must have an infection. When I explained to her that it happens everytime I have cronic episodes lasting days she believed me. I told her about this group and she agreed I could probably learn more from others who have this disorder than from any doctors. So many things are still a mystery with tn let alone a typical. I pray all will be given rest of this horrible disorder. God’s speed.
