Is MVD still the only non destructive surgical procedure for TN? I've been out of the loop and want to be sure my information is still correct. Would hate to pass this information on if no longer the case.
And I hear there are some new anti seizure drugs being used for TN pain. How are people doing with these? More or less side effects than tegretol?

As far as I know, this is correct. But to be POSITIVE, send a message to Red. He will know FOR SURE.
I believe Lamictal is probably the latest seizure med I've seen on here -- some people cannot take any meds in that group - and some live on them for years --- and everything in between..... and yes - looking around - MVD still seems to be the only major - non-nerve damaging procedure that can be very effective.
Probably the newest addition to treatment talk on here in last two years
is on medical marijuana.... many have used it officially, or unofficially
and finding some relief.
