I was just recently diagnosed with TN and I'm pending the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. I was just wondering if anyone has trouble doing simple things like the dishes, shaving, even just doing housework in general? I have so much pain in my shins, the tops of my hands, arms, back, and even in my butt. It hurts very much to even walk to the mailbox and back somedays. I just feel extremely abnormal and was wondering if anyone else feels the same?
The simple answer is "YES". It is very frustrating. I had fibro long before the TN pain started. It did not have a name in those days so I was labeled many times. Truth is, I stopped telling anyone about it so I did not have to endure the looks and comments. I recently tried Lyrica but side effects for me were terrible. Been thru many seasons with both, some of them were far better than others. Back in the day, it did not hurt any worse to get moving than it did to be still, I could refocus my thoughts. I still believe that it is better for me to try to do things, even when they are hard to do. TN isn't near that kind to me.
Keep going, keep walking, keep believing for a way through it. Understanding of both conditions is far better than ever. We do have hope!
Yes, all of the above are true fibro symptoms. Fibro is not just muscle related. It affects your whole system and makes you very weak. I just posted this to faceook today, but i think you might relate if I put it here too.
Yes everyday . Pace yourself . Don’t over do it or you will regret it . Trust I do that sometimes. My mother has fibromyalgia RA and other things .And the first thing she will tell you is the same thing .I hope you feel better and have better days . sooner or later you learn your new pace
