I always feel compelled to urge treatment by an Upper Cervical Chiropractor before surgery. Perhaps you have already been down this road without success, but if you have not I would suggest checking it out. Many, including myself, have experienced great and long lasting relief with a UCC. Just makes sense to me to give it a try before surgery. I know the pain and I have experienced the side affects of all the normal TN prescribed drugs. After meeting with a UCC I am 98% pain free and have been for months. Wish you the best whatever route you take.

Hi BMAC,
Nice to hear for you. I would have traded places lol. On my end here’s a list of my past 16 months… i kindda tried everything i beleived in… so i’m OK with an MDV !! We’ll see in a few weeks if i’m on the good side of the statistics !

1 CT-angio scan
4 MRIs
21 visits to my neurologist
1 Bloc of the grand auricular nerve
10 Cranio-Cervical & Temporomandibar treatments
7 puncture-physiotherapy treatments
6 cervico-chiropratice treatments
4 acupuncture treatments

Sounds like me!
either the baclofen or the shingles vaccine is now working for me(touch wood)or maybe it is the new weed.
I can finally taste food again.
i am not out of the woods-but a slight improvement.
Since the neurosurgeons told me there is nothing to operate on.
Good luck with the MVD
