I arrive at Hopkins tomorrow (Mon 1/14/2013) very early to rerun all the PreOp tests/scans and if all goes well I "check-in" Tues 1/15 at 530AM. Then by 730AM I should be out cold and Dr Lim should begin the MVD procedure.
I decided to share with ALL such that if it could help one more person to find the COURAGE to make that first phone call, go the first appt, follow through with all the tests/scans, etc etc to do this its worth it.
Albee, you know I will be thinking of you and hoping for the beat outcome for you. I look forward to you telling me how amazing you feel. Much love to you too!
Good luck to you Albee. I had my MVD on Dec. 21 and have been pain free with no side effects. Remember to give yourself time to heal and take it easy for a few weeks.
You have heard this before, but I repeat, “Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life.”. You are doing all the right things & I am so proud of you! You are in my prayers.
Thank you all!!! Turns out flipping to sitting back to recover well as opposed to “grinding through” it is my toughest challenge yet. I wrote about it here: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/albee/journal
