John Hopkins has a very good reputation I also been pain free somewhat with med for the mean time and it can and does flare up anytime am 62 and diabetic my sugars are well controlled for the meantime please give some encouragement
Hi Ramon, I am scheduled for MVD on July 12 with Dr Ken Casey. I am also 62. And I am also freaking out! And my pain is under control with the meds too. The doubts creep in, maybe I don’t need this surgery. But then I remember how bad it has been and will be again. I don’t want to live like that if I have this chance to stop it! So I will go. I can’t be much help except to say you are not alone! Hope all goes well for both of us!

Hi beach lover I did it took a little longer 5hrs normally 2 they say this is my 3rd day and they are releasing me today John hopkins and their surgical team were fantastic I spent the time ccu I feel numbness on my scalp and my forehead no pain whatsoever I think I was more scared of the anesthesia I did not have any my site of my stitches was somewhat painful for the 1st day and today the pain from there basically gone
Hi Ramon, I just now saw your note. I’m glad your surgery went well. How is your recovery going? My surgery was July 12. I stayed 2 nights in hospital and 2 nights in a hotel then traveled 700 miles home. My recovery has been very easy. Slight headaches and I get tired but overall good. I’m so glad I did it! No TN pain!! I hope you are doing well too!
I hope you got my reply I sent today about my progress I am still new at this site I am glad I saw your email just today wow I sent that note on the 10th just before I was readmitted back to ccu with cranial spinal leak but now it’s all over

No not yet I am sort of semI retired I am a hairstylist but I sold my last salon 2014 because of this condition I am on disabilty for short term .I have a few properties that makes a little income but have one in keywest which is ultimate wish to relocate there this TN really delayed a bit but if I recover from this 100 percent I am out of here with my 3 babies I rescued. In Nov 2015 Dallas foxy and bailey Papillion mix and yorkie poo my life.god has been watching over me being a diabetic I think I came through very well god bless you
