As I have said before, my TN is mild compared to that of many I have read here. But, as you fellow sufferers know, even a mild case is awful. After an episode lasted longer than before, I knew the condition was worsening, and started looking for help. Here are two things that have:
- Meditation: I have practiced daily for many years. Being able to see the pain without as much emotional involvement has enabled me to accept it, even change it. There are resources out there dealing with pain management through meditation. Check them out.
- Diet: A low-fat diet suggested by Frank Sherwood has not been that hard to maintain. I am not 100% certain the diet has been totally responsible for the reduction of my TN, but I choose to think so. Besides, there are many positive benefits.
I am happy to discuss this if you are interested.
Blessings,
Frank Simons
