I used the Spoon Theory today to try and explain about TN and also the Pain ranking.
I was at a customers premisis doing it hard and Tried to explain what I was going through, (Not always a good idea) But this guy is a good guy. He didnt get it so I pulled out the spoons analogy.
Worked a treat! I also Pulled out the Top ten Most painful medical conditions.
I said Google it. We were waiting for Penang to dial in so he did. once we got through the garbage that Google threw up there were the lists. Almost all had TN at No.2 or 3
He asked how I was working as a manager and keeping it togther in a high stress environment like here (where we were and the situation we were in Read tough) and I answered Only Just mate Only Just.
I also saw a Big sign on the back of a car on the way home that said there are no issues only challenges.
I bet they never had the challenge of TN then they would have an issue.
Thanks for this reference, Porcelina. I have added a link to the article in our local resource "Coping With Crisis" in the section pertaining to "When a family member doesn't 'get it'". If you wish, I will add a personal reference to you as a named member.
Porcelina, that link doesn't take us to The Spoon Theory, but another page on "But You Don't Look Sick". Could you please click "edit discussion" and use this link?
