Tegretol

I have been taking Tegretol for over a month and have not had any pain reduction. I was on 600 mg and slowly built up to 800 mg and still no relief. I didn't have any side effects either except some hair loss .

In fact I wondered if the Tegretol was making my pain worse.

did anyone have this issue ? either it not working or making symptoms worse?

I have just started Tegretol again. It didn’t seem to work for me last year but the neurologist wanted to try it again. I don’t like this drug at all but it seems it is the first drug of choice for some doctors.
