Tegretol side effects and reversing them

Hey all, I just joined this post and would like to thank the organisers for setting it up. Basically I was hoping someone out there might have answers on Tegretol side effects and any possible ways to reverse them. I stopped taking Tegretol at the end of 2006 after two years, but the side effects never really went away. I still have chronic fatigue, though it has vaguely reduced. I haven't been able to lose the 30 kilos I put on while on Tegretol despite a wide and varied range of efforts. I've also developed chronic arthritis whereas before Tegretol I only had mild hereditary juvenile arthritis, and no arthritis at all while on Tegretol (one of very few bonuses). The depression has become milder but is still ever present and I'm still utterly antisocial, in fact more so than ever. Has anyone found ways to reverse any of these effects or at least treat/understand/trace the cause of any of them? Doctors are of less than no help and I haven't been able to find a thing on the internet. I know with some drugs there's been a lot of research done and methods of reversing effects discovered, such as taking COQ10 to reverse the effects of Lipitor. But there's nothing out there for Tegretol or similar drugs. Seems TN/Tegretol are still partial mysteries and it might take statin-esque law suits to prompt any kind of research into them. If anyone has any feedback that might help, please let me know!

Meanwhile, my biggest sympathies to everyone out there suffering the TN ordeal.
