Success Stories

Having recently been diagnosed with TN I have been researching the disease on the internet and have come acrsoo some very disturbing and depressing testimonials. One short film describes the trials of a poor young woman who has undergone 4 surgeries and numerous medications and has yet to achieve any permanent relief after 3.5 years of suffering. This film includes the cheery statistic that 50% of TN patients commit suicide with 2 years of diagnosis.

Please, I need some success stories!! Can anybody provide some testimonials with a better outcome?

And is the 50% statistic really true? (if you can refute please do; but don't confirm it)

Tom

No, the 50% statistic is NOT true. It's a horrid distortion of outcomes from an early study of very limited numbers of patients under relatively uncontrolled conditions. I've been trying for years to kill this piece of misinformation.

Thanks Richard! This is massive relief.
