I have had TN since I broke my jaw 3 yrs ago. Mine was caused from trauma and I’m in pain or burning most days. I don’t have to many days that I don’t feel something. I got my spinal cord stim placed 7/13. It worked great for the first 3 months but now my attacks are getting worse and more frequent. I am also still on meds gabapintin and pain meds as needed.
I just wondered if anyone else has gone down this road and the results?
Sorry for your pain.Most i have read about here is the P Stim that attaches to the face.Maybe you could talk to your Dr. and increase your med to get over the hump.

I replied to your other post before I saw this one. Have you had any reprogramming of your stim? I got mine in August, and had to have some reprogramming with the rep from the medical supply company in October. The new programming helped cover my pain much better. If you don’t have a rep, call the manufacturer of your device to get one. The stims often need some new programs as time goes on.

Yea I have had a couple reprogrammings done. They do help for awhile. Do you still have really bad days? I think I was hoping this would be the end all and it’s not :(.
I txt with my drug rep. I’m pretty sure I drive her crazy, but she is great.
Can you lay on that side of your head? The wires bother me. My battery got stuck in my chest this morning which freaked me out.
Sometimes it is uncomfortable to lie on that side if I have the stim turned up high. I noticed in the past month that my battery moves a bit more than it did at first. It never got stuck but sometimes it does get into weird positions.
I have had some bad days, mostly when the weather is rainy for a few days. I have been off Gabapentin for about three weeks, but will take it if the pain gets to be too much.
Wow that’s great. Mine doesn’t cover my nose or upper lip. I still have burning in those areas. I tried to get off of gabapentin and couldn’t 
I really wanted to be drug free.
I’m getting bilateral joint replacement on my jaw in jan/feb. I hope this will give me more pain relief too.
I have or am still kinda in denial. Until I did my trial for stim I really really doubt my TN Dx. I had the trial and all of the burning was gone and I realized it was real.
I have so much anger. I was so happy to find this site.
The weather changes are my bad days too.
I had mine placed at the end of July. My battery moves a lot. I’m going to see my surgeon due to because of the moving and now sticking I have knots I’m guessing from the wires???
