This Meeting will be a general support group, open to all topics

The meeting is at Alta Bates/Summit Hospital in Oakland from 1:30-3:30pm on Saturday, Nov. 7 in the Elm conference room, 350 Hawthorne Ave., Oakland, located near the MacArthur Bart station.The Elm conference room is on the right just before the entrance to the Emergency Room waiting area.

PS: If you come from MacArthur BART, take Telegraph towards W. MacArthur Blvd and then under the Fwy until you reach 34th St. Turn Left, go up 34th until you reach the Emergency Room entrance, right before Webster St. The Elm room is just to the left when you pass the guard station (on the right side), right before the ER. If you are used to walking in the city you should be fine with the distance, it is about 6 blocks, not long ones. Unfortunately no shuttle runs on the weekends.

If you drive in, do not park in the parking garage that is just off of Broadway, it closes at 2:00pm, we learned the hard way!

Hi: Sorry to have missed the meeting. I am trying to find a pain dr in the berkeley/oakland area who wld be willing to do anesthetic injections of bupivocaine (sp) to my lower right jaw. i have read on this sight of 1 or 2 members who have found relief from this longer lasting anesthetic and one person even reported it breaking heir pain cycle. My pain can still be stopped locally for short periods of time so it does not appear to be centralized pain syndrome yet. i am just having a very difficult pain dr. who will try these kind of injections. my current pain dr knows nothing about facial pain.
