Has anyone ever heard of someone having an MVD for TN on one side then the TN starting on the opposite side? within 3 months?
Unfortunately, as we are a support group we do hear more about failed procedures than the successful ones, by the very nature of the group.
I am so sorry to read that you have had your TN return on the other side. I have bilateral too and empathize as I know its hard.You could join the subgroup called MVD and ask the members there .All the best.

I've talked to other patients who share your experience. Although less common than unilateral TN, well over a hundred members here have experienced bilateral TN -- and a few have had MVD on both sides.

Just seems strange that no sign of it on the left in all the 7 years on the right...until 3 months after surgery! Thanks both for your comments x
