Major rant! Evidence based healthcare when it comes to rare disorders is a huge joke, and that is putting it nicely. There is often not enough people to warrant doing the large studies to prove the "Evidence" and when the "Evidence" is not there, the care is denied. While Evidence Based Healthcare does save money, there times cases need to be evaluated on a person, by person basis, and not by a one size fits all approach.
