Raising Awareness:Our Race Our Petition It Starts With US

Hi all,

This past July, I was fortunate enough to be driven down to Ohio for the first RACE TO SAVE FACE. It was a 5 mile run that was organized by Judy Littleton and her niece Jessica to help raise money for the The Facial Pain Research Foundation and their efforts to help find us a cure within the next ten years!!!

NOW, I have the opportunity to go down to Gainesville, Fl for the second Race to Save Face on 2/9/2013. I will be taking advantage of that opportunity and I will be encouraging friends and family to travel down there with me. It is so important to raise awareness and funds to help us and help those who will be diagnosed in the future

Please consider joining in the cause. For those of you with FaceBook, please look here for updates and details on the Race to Save Face, including course details and the line up of race events. https://www.facebook.com/groups/UFracetosaveface/

Otherwise, please go to http://www.facingfacialpain.org/ for more information.

Registration is only $20 for walkers and $25 for 5k runners. I know many of you can't run for a number of reasons. I did see people out in Ohio sitting on the side lines with their faces covered while some of us ran with and without face coverage. WE must come together so that others will gather for us.

On that note, have YOU signed the petition to help us get a global awareness day? Please sign it and Pass it on http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/trigeminal-neuralgia-awareness-day/

Wishing your beautiful faces a pain free Monday!

If I am able (ie not recovering from MVD) I am def game for this. Some days I run up entire parking garages (used to run across town, but if you finally snap out of it you are FAR from home so the parking garage is simple...). Keep us posted and remind us b/c we all have sh*tty memories given all the meds

I’ll definitely remind you  there is another one in the works for VA in 2013 I believe.
Good day to you all

Even brisk walking is too much wind for my face :frowning: I used to enjoy walks but now they mean the rest of the day with severe TN. Sincere, best wishes to all the runners!

I totally understand. Please encourage friends and family members to help spread awareness by signing and passing on the petition. Those interested are also encouraged to organize runs in their hometowns. The very best to all of your gorgeous faces! Xoxo
