Radio Frequency Rhizotomy post op pain

I have been suffering for over a year and none of the tablets work and suffer on both side and left being to worse although the major tooth pain in front teeth and one at back on right hand side.
I had the above op done on the 15 Dec and for first week i was in alot of pain but expect the off stabbing pain was loads better. I had the right side done last week and I am really in loads of pain all my teeth hurt got pain in both sides of my face ( feel like I been punched) which is alot worse when laying down nothing is helping at all.
Was back at hospital on Mon and they have informed me that they need ti do the op on both sides again but on different set on nervous which control the mouth and teeth.
Also since op been getting loads of earache and headaches
As anyone else had loads of pain after the op? And if so how long did it take to settle down.

Hi bikershaz,
I’m sorry to hear of your pain post op, I’ve never had the procedure, so can’t answer your questions. However, I’ve heard ( during a FPA conference video from last year given by a group of prominent neurosurgeons in the US) that one shouldn’t do a repeat rhizotomy until a year has passed to allow the nerve time to heal. When it is repeated, it should be done on a different section of the nerve as you stated above.
I hope your pain subsides soon, perhaps others will respond in the meantime.
Sending positive thoughts, Mimi

Anyone else had loads of pain after this op

I just wanted to suggest sleeping and resting in a recliner... I swell up and get more head pain if I sleep flat... it may help you at least for now, not to lay flat while sleeping if you can... It sounds like whatever they did, it irritated a nerve somehow in the process...

When I have teeth work done it takes several weeks for my teeth to stop hurting... :(

I hope you feel better Soon Bikershaz. Min

Thank you mouth really sore today and hurting to talk starting to wish I hadnt had operation done
