also does sometimes PRESSING the jaw or behind the ear help you guys ?? i feel like may be it does or at least i feel some "shooting " when i do? may be this isnt nerve at all and we are all wrong and it is muscle? have i been misdiagnosed? but when in one of my "episodes" it is like i can press parts of my face to make it active or not .. is that normal? oh dear Lord the shooting is SO BAD TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
around ear and jaw... shooting in a way and place i cant really explain .. debilitating but not tmj ... already looked into that .. nor an ear infection ...mri results uknown right now

I have cheek pain and I press on it. It seems to help a bit but does not get rid of the pain, it just seems the natural thing to do when the pain hits.
My meds take away the nerve sparking I guess I would call it. But I get a gripping pain that hits just under my cheek bone towards the jaw hinge. I have to press hard and rub to get through it. I dont know why the meds dont help that part of this?
