SInce this is so long I attached it as a word doc. Hope this helps anyone thinking about becoming pregnant.
Lindsey,
I’m glad you had a relatively good time during pregnancy and you have been blessed with a daughter.

Hi Lyndsey,
Many congratulations on the birth of your baby girl.
And thank you for sharing your story with us.
Love Jo X x
I added some pictures to my page : )
Lindsey, Congratulations on your baby girl! Children are a Gift from God, and you are so very blessed. I appreciate your information ~~ it will be beneficial to anyone with TN who is deciding whether or not to have a baby. You researched and made decisions based on knowledge. Knowledge IS power
I have had MS for 20 years ~~ my children were toddlers when I was diagnosed. Dealing with a chronic illness is challenging as you balance life, but the rewards cannot be expressed! My “babies” are 28 and 24. They don’t remember a healthy mom, but they still love me!
Best wishes as you love your baby and battle your TN. YOU CAN DO IT!!
this blesses me so much! my heart is overwhelmed to possiblity of having a dream back. I was praying that God would reveal a medicine for me because i knew i couldn’t go back on the carbamzapine. i knew we always wanted to adopt so that was not a big deal At all but it infuriated me that this illness was going to take yet again another thing from my life! i refuse to allow this to continue any more!
thanks for the ray of hope =D
hi,
thanks for writing this. very informative. how much medication did you take during your pregnancy, did the baby have any side effects, withdrawal symptoms after it was born? did y0u breastfeed while on medication and did this affect the baby?
there are databases that collect information from women who take potentially harmful medication during pregnancy. did you report the safe delivery of the child?
i remember a rare moment of weakness in front of a pain management doctor, thinking i would never be able to have a child. he said to me, “epileptic women have healthy babies everyday. you can have a baby too.” it was a bittersweet relief.

Hi Lindsey, I found your post really helpful as I am currently dealing with some facial pain, probably ATN, it's new for me. I am starting gabapentin tonight, hoping it goes well. For the last few months I've just been using Advil which seems to help but it's time to move on I guess. I am particularly worried about options during pregnancy as I want to have a child soon. After reading your post I was able to find a lot of information online about tons of other people who took Lamictal during pergnancy with no issues (although I found more information on the seizure boards rather than neuralgia websites). I was wondering what dosage you were taking? And as someone else asked below did you take these meds while breastfeeding? Congrats on your baby girl, I hope all is well and look forward to chatting with you.
