Morning all, I hope today brings some peace and pain free! I had my MVD on last Tuesday,December 17th under Dr. Robert Mericle of Nashville. The surgery was scheduled for 4 hours but lasted a little over 8 because Dr. Mericle found compressions on get this....all 3 of my nerves!! Look at God!! I can't imagine suffering from pain from all 3 nerves when the pain from one was so unbearable! But I serve a merciful sustaining healing God that won't put more on us..even when it doesn't feel like it...than we can bare. Now ain't that good news! Since waking up from the surgery I have not had any TN pain and I count that a blessing all by itself! I've had some severe headaches and pressure as well as numbness on my right side but otherwise I'm blessed beyond measure! Now I don't know if the TN pain is gone because I'm numb but I'll take it however and for how long i can. I can't say that the surgery is for everyone nor would I try and talk someone into doing what they don't want too but what I will do is encourage everyone dealing with this disease is too talk to an experienced surgeon and someone who has been through it. What the surgery has done for me may not be the same for you but please don't knock it until you've at least talked about or researched it!
