I know that I have seen this subject somewhere here, but it's been quite awhile ago. I woulld like to bring it back up for discussion again. Medicinal marijuana for tn2. My questions are, Has anyone found it helpful? If so how? Does anyone know what strain is best for tn? Are there any types of pain meds that are safe to use while getting the marijuana out of your system? Thanks so much for any input. Wishing all a painfree night!
You might find the search box above and put a key word in it and see what pops up!
Also read the last few posts in the thread below.
If you can get a card -- RUN get it! They will tell you what type to get, etc.
Several have been on here and did not have a card - or not in the right state - but found much relief with medical or unmedical marijuana LOL
There is no problem mixing MM with anything except maybe narcotics ---- see your physician!
You can just get edibles - don't have to smoke.
Yes I found it helped quite a bit. The best way for myself was smoking it.
The best strain I used was purple kush. It has a very pleasant feel to it without making me fall asleep.
Mixing Pain meds and Pot can be risky, especially the oxy's. I had a reduced heart rate and passed out hard on the dining room table.
I blame the Oxy's for that - not the pot.
As for getting it out of your system, thats a tricky one. It really stays in your system for 90 days. Maybe even longer in the hair follicles.
Hope that helps.

I am pretty sure that I could not live this demon with out it. I am a hyper person and can no longer climb the nearest mountain when I feel anxious, or sing loud to my favorite song to relieve stress. Etc... I am forced to rest constantly. I would go insane with out something to tone down my brain and relax my body. I also have extreme insomnia from my TAC headaches waking me up nightly. Have not found a sleeping pill yet that will help me sleep. Good old Indica does the trick, without the memory wipe and grogginess. With out that reset period my TN will not calm down.
I have now been thru countless pills, found some that worked then they stopped. I can get some relief from Xanax but long term use and addiction problems are scary. Etc...
MM just is a good choice for me. However I always feel nervous telling anyone because the FED's are buggers. I am fortunate to live in CA where a card is available and the store is near. I make my own edibles, and capsules. The anti-inflammatory response is great when it is eaten. The swelling in my mouth reduces more than half for several hours.
The other reason I do not like mentioning it is because as soon as you do, your creditability goes out the door. I guess if you use prescription drugs it makes one more honest. ??? go figure a drug is a drug.
Yes, hard to remove from system. But not impossible. Very hard to fool saliva or hair test.
I am actually less stupid on MM then on AED's. I can actually mentally perform normally. But I am a long time MM patient. For many years prior to getting a diagnosis, that's all I took for my pains, TN and headaches. Because I can not tolerate the toxic effects of Western Med. Drugs. For me its like being really drunk 24/7. I hate being drunk.
Cheers, Tree

Whoops, sorry about that! I did get a chic chip Cookie today that has been made with the purple kush. I will save it until I really need it and then I will try it.Oh, it was made into butter. I myself I would prefer to smke it it just seems to work for me that way also. Thanks to all for your help and understaning, it all has been not so scarey about the MM, but I guess I have not heard much about MM on this subject but I do know why people don't want to talk about it, and I do understand. So I thank one in all for talking about it with me.I felt for along time I was the only one wanting just aweed to help not all the crazy meds. that me left confused groggy and couldn't let me remember much. Thanks again for not making me I was the only smoking MM. Wishing all a pain free night!!
To answer your questions: 1)yes I have found tha medical marijuana is very helpful for me. 2)I smoke or vaporize the marijuana in the evenings. The pain relief is immediate. The nice thing for me is that the pain releaving qualities of the weed last into the next day or couple of days. Everyone is different so you may not get the same effects. 3)I have tried indica strains and sativa strains and both work for me with good pain relief. It seems that indica strains provide better next day pain relief for me. 4)I use ibuprofen as a backup pain medication and I almost never get "the marijuana out of [my] system" anymore. Hope this helps! Peace and wishing you too a pain free day and night!
I hope you are all still available. I just started trying MM. My doc told me to try CBD w/o THC. I found a little choc bar but it didn't do a thing, well made me a little high and that was pleasant. The big BUT is that I have never found relief on opiods so I'm kind of worried that I won't be able to find relief from MM either. I'll try the purple kush though. Does anyone know of a good dispensary around Ventura county, I'm close to San Fernando Valley too.
PS I don't need an appetite stimulator. Maybe an appetite suppresant? lol
