I'm home from having a balloon compression done and soooo excited. I am painfree!!!!! I was suppose to have the surgery today but they changed it to yesterday. I'm dentist like numb and could care less. I wish I could mention a surgeon's name because this guy is the best. I was at Sunnybrook emergeny (huge hospital in Toronto Ontario, they have everything there) Monday morning and they were doing nothing for my pain. Said they could not consult with my surgeon , who by the way works out of there. I emailed him and told him where I was. He replied almost immediately and told me he had surgery all day but would see me in his office at 8 the next morning. My daughter and I stayed over night in a hotel because we are 3hrs away and saw him on Tuesday morming, by 830 Thursday morning I was pain free. I could not be more happy. Now I can only pray it stays. I know not forever but I am going to enjoy my time. I will tell you this....He put a "D" on my cheek and the nurses said 'Oh ya there goes the....his name....mark. LOL Apperently it is his trademark.
Anyway alot of you, and thank you so much for caring, asked for an update.

Thank you Joanne, I wish all of us could be rid of this terrible monster. I'm screaming pain free now but I know with balloon compression it won't last forever, I just have to enjoy the time I have.
Take care of you,
Linda

Always good to see successful procedure's, especially when they've tried other ones that failed.... Hope you enjoy it and are one of the ones who get long term relief!
Linda, so happy for you - pain free is painfree, no matter whether its temporary or permanent! Enjoy the reprieve, rest a lot, and make the most of it. xx
Hi Linda
When I hear about others being pain free it gives me great joy, and for a moment I am pain free too! Thanks for sharing and may your pain free days be many:)

This is such GREAT news! It gives Hope and we all need that. I hope it last a long time. I have no idea how that is done. I need to look it up. I'm ready to do something. Meds make me to tired.
Thank you so much for all the good wishes everyone. I wish it for you all. I am really so enjoying this. Everyone around me home, friends, work...etc. They talk about the fact that I can eat again and don't get me wrong I am enjoying that but it is the little things in life...like brushing my teeth as long as I want lol. Only my friends here understand that joke. Please do everything you can to be pain free and of course...
