Oh God Why?!

Having a horrible episode right now! Have a doctors appt at 1:50, I’m shaking and puking. I took neurontin, but dont want to take pain meds and drive,

Oh God… Please, please make it go away!!!

All the best with your Dr's appointment, I hope for better for you very soon :(

If I could, darling, I would take all your pain away. But I'm in the same pain myself :( Try to take Tramadol. It has to bring you some rest of pain.

I feel for you Kismet! My hearts goes out to you...we are all in the same boat; had a hellish weekend too; asking the same question and saying the same prayers... my neuro put me on Medrol (a steroid) to help the swelling - three days later and I am able to talk to you right now in a coherant manner! Tolerable... not puking anymore myself (rough weekend)...worth a shot? ...bless your heart hun!

Cris

Prayers and hopes that you were able to get some relief. I understand the hopelessness. Hang in there. Many blessings~~

I will surely ask about Medrol. I can’t take NSAIDs, so steriodals are my only option.

Cris, thanks for your empathy- sometimes what keeps me grounded is wonderful people like you.

My doctor added new meds, but doesn’t want to change my anti seizure medication. He wants the neurologist to do that. My guess is I may try Trileptal.

Hoping your weekend gets better!!! I’m finally eating for the first time today (@ 1:00am).

Hugs,
Teresa

Thanks everyone…

Doctor is going to let me do the imitrex injections and added klonopin to my regimen. Here’s to hoping for contious relief!!

Does anyone know if lidocaine cream is by prescription only?

Here’s to pain free days ahead!

I'm thinking of you and praying for your relief and strength.

Thank you, Dixie!

Kismet - The Imitrex shot helps with the TN pain? I take Maxalt (which is a triptan - in the same class as Imitrex) for migraines.

When I went to the ER the last time they gave me a shot of imitrex and it did calm down my episode. I took the pill form of imitrex, but it didn’t have the same affect. I am not sure why that is.

Lidocaine over 2% seems to be by prescription only in Canada. I have a special sinus spray mixed for me at 6% and I also spray my gums and face in area by my mouth/cheek. Somedays i wish i could swim in it … Sometimes it’s the only thing that gets me through the day. Short acting but helpful in conjunction with my other meds.

Unfortunately, many of us know your pain. How are you doing now? Hope it's better.

hey Teresa

How are you these days? I tell ya, the steroid REALLY did help and has continued for about a week now! I actually feel like a human being that has some control over her life instead of the disease having control over me! I hope the imitrex and klonopin have helped you!!
