I just received a letter from the Neuro Doctor telling me that my appointment for the &th of Dec has been rescheduled for April, 2013. I placed a call to the Patient Services Coordinator. Keep you fingers crossed. This is the third time it has been rescheduled!

I'll keep my fingers crossed....did they explain why it was rescheduled? I understand if it happens once but three times is a bit too much and it is a long wait til April. Anyways, I hope you'll get to see the doc earlier than that!

UPDATE: I tried to update earlier but the site was down. I got a call back from the Patient Services Coordinator who explained that the doctor was going to be out of the office that day. I told him that rescheduling was not going to work for me. I then had him examine the record and see for himself how many times the appointment was rescheduled. After seeing this for himself and acknowledging the diagnosis, he scheduled me for Dec. 13 with the Nurse Practitioner. He did apologize and said that with the diagnosis I have, it isn't right to reschedule appointments like this. He said to call him personally if anything like this happens again. I told him that I was going to hold him to his word. PS I have seen the N.P before and am comfortable with her.

Glad it got resolved, big difference between dec and April.
Oh I’m sorry that is unacceptable. I’m not comfortable with the nurse practitioner at one of doctors and refuse to see her. As long as this nurse practitioner listens, treats you well, and respect you as a patient then by all means keep this appointment and try to get another with your doctor that is sooner. On the other hand if you are treated with respect, given the care you deserve then call back and tell them this will not work and you must see the doctor. If your appointments are rescheduled like this often which it sounds like the case you may need to find another doctor. Just something for you to think about if this would be possible. I’ve had a few appointments rescheduled my self but never that far out. I hope your appointment goes well for you and again sorry you had to go thru that.
