New Short Documentary Film on TN. Job Well Done

This short documentary zeroes in on the life of a strong and courageous lady named Frances who is battling Trigeminal Neuralgia. Since I also suffer from this disease, I was curious to see if this film would really capture a snapshot of our lives so that others who don't quite understand the disease, gets it.
My opinion is Yes, it does. They are right on. Passing this film on to my close friends and family who live far away from me, now have a firmer grasp of what people with TN go through.
Be Prepared, You will not be sheltered from her suffering.
My prayers go out to Frances and her family and for all of us how have this terrible disease.
Thank you filmmakers, Katie Mattie, Will Neal and Vincent Moore for a job well done.

I watched this yesterday and cried. I appreciate her so much for allowing us into her life and her pain.
I couldn’t imagine having 200+ attacks a day and her strength is so amazing.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It really touched me and I also cried. All should watch this. It's very well done and really does a good job of communicating the level of pain we do and or have endured. It shows how much this disease affects all aspects of one's life and the courage and strength that is needed to pull through each day. God bless Frances.

I have watched this twice now and agree that it is well done, showing how this disease affects our lives but I struggle with their statement that 50% of people with TN commit suicide within 2 years.

I just watched it and cried too. Hard to watch when you know how it feels. Some wrong info in it but it's good all the same.

Hard for me to watch...cause I know that's what I look like some days.

No words after watching this, just tears. What a beautiful, brave lady. Thank you for sharing this.

shadow2 - I question the 50% suicide rate within 2 yrs too. I grieve for the life I had before ATN, but never seriously thought about ending it all.

My reservation about that statement is that it can cause undue worry for family members if they view the video (which I think was very well done). I know my own mother would likely lose sleep over it as my nephew took his own life a year and a half ago. He had leukemia. My mother and brother were angry with him but I understood on some level. Unless someone lives with chronic pain for years and the hopelessness it can bring it is nearly impossible for them to understand. Even so, many, many of us find a way to live our lives in a new way.

shadow2, That is so sad about your nephew - it must've been devastating for you and your family. You have good reason to feel concerned over that statement.

Thank you so much for posting this. I bawled my eyes out. It is difficult to watch if you have TN (or ATN like I have). I do hope that awareness spreads for this terrible disease. I went to 5 doctors before I was accurately diagnosed. They should make ALL doctors watch this so that they can help those who suffer find some understanding, compassion and relief.

I’ve seen this one. Frances is a brave lady. Thank u for sharing x

This was really touching. They captured her pain really well. A very honest look at what people with TN endure. Thanks for posting this.
