I have an appt in Feb. The only disappoint I have is that he is out of network and I am from the Lehigh Valley. I would like to hear more about your experience.
I was disappointed that he was out of my network as well, but I felt more comfortable with his knowledge and experience when it comes to TN than I did with other NSs and decided to go with him anyway. He is very nice. I know that’s not the most important criteria for a NS, but it helps a lot. He seems to genuinely care.
I keep reading on here about people that had MVDs and were sent home 2 days later. This was not the case with me. He had said 4 days in the hospital, but I ended up there 7 days due to a small complication due to other health issues. I was never rushed to leave. Which was nice because I couldn’t possibly imagine going home within 2 days! The staff at the hospital he works at was VERY nice. The Neuro ICU knows how to handle post MVD patients and what signs to look for. Also, his office staff is great. If you call with a question, the PA or nurse practitioner will call you back within an hour or two.
It was a better experience than what I had expected. I see him in a few weeks for my last post-op visit. I am in the midst of tapering down my meds and I still have hardly any TN pain left.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.

That is great to hear for you and so re-assuring for myself. I had the same experience with Jennetta/Sekula in Pittsburgh. That is what drew me to him -his training with Jennetta. I am looking forward to my appointment. Thanks for your feedback. I feel a lot better about making this appointment
