Hey everyone, I’m getting the Micro Vascular Decompression (MVD) on Wednesday, December 7 and I am praying to God that it works for at least a few months. I am nervous that it won’t and will just make things worse. I’ve already been through enough. This doctor, Dr. Keneth Casey, is an amazing doctor and I trust him but am nervous about the surgery not working. Please feel free to comment.
You'll find several MVD threads on the site, by entering the term in the search window at top right. The procedure is the gold standard of surgical interventions for typical TN, though less effective for Atypical TN. I've heard Casey speak at TNA Conventions 12-15 years ago, and interacted with him in person several times. He strikes me as exceptionally well grounded in both medicine and humanity.
