I am excited to have my MVD surgery in 2 weeks. Hope all goes well.
I will be sending all my positive vibes to you on Dec.9th. I had mine on Nov. 17, 2010, and have been shock FREE since waking up from surgery. You should be in great hands at Mayo!
All my best for a successful MVD,
Judy
I will say a prayer for you and your surgeon. I wish you much success with the surgery. Mine was scheduled for the 9th but then they changed it to the 14th so I will be right behind you.
Joe,
I hope you are doing well. I hope someone will post and let us know. And hopefully we will hear from you shortly. My prayers are with you.
Liz
I hope all went well for you yesterday and I too would love to hear something about your surgery soon as I am having it on Tuesday. I am going to be honest. I am scared. I am excited that I have a possibility of getting off these meds and having no pain but the actual surgery scares me a bit.
Sending positive thoughts. The 1st and 2nd day was really rough for me, but each day after that got a little easier.
All my best,
Judy
Hi all,
Sorry for the late update. I thought I did earlier but somehow it was not posted properly. Anyway, surgery went great last Thursday. Thanks for the prayers and good vibes :) I was in OR at 10:30 and woke up a 3:30 from anesthetic. I felt fine as soon as I woke up, no face pain! I could tell because I always had a hard time licking my lips after waking up but had no issues even with a super dry lips. Had a minor headaches Thursday evening and same on Friday but other than that felt fine. Saturday morning I woke with the worst headache to that point and was released to go home. Left Rochester by 11AM and arrived home to northern Chicago burbs by 5PM. We got out before the big snow storms in MN :)
Headaches have been getting better all week. I have been on treadmill since Monday doing a mile or two of slow walking. It is too good to be true, I keep waiting for the pain to come back as I've had been dealing with this for so long but so far so good.
Thanks for all the words of encouragement and best of luck to you all. No one should endure the pain we've all gone through.
Take care,
Joe
