Hi All . . . I just wanted to share that today is my one year anniversary since my successful MVD!! No pain and no meds! I have Dr. Casey to thank as well as all those that helped me down the path to that decision and those who prayed for me during my journey and surgery. I am praying today for all those who still suffer from this horrific disease. Please know that I am here for you all. I will continue to be present on this support group to offer any assistance I can. I feel so very blessed to have the pain behind me and feel drawn to pay it forward to others - it's the purpose of why I suffered from this disease.
Congratulations! I'm 15 days post-MVD. So far so good! May God continue to bless you...
Wow! I forgot My anniversary was last week!
Three years, no pain, no meds!
Cheers!

So happy for you! I am 3 months post op and I can't wait for a year to go by and to be totally normal again. I am pain free but do get what I call scalp fatigue, not sure if others have had this. My scar aches and I just feel tired. When I feel tired my scar aches. Anyway I am so happy to be able to brush my teeth without pain and to remember things, to eat cornchips again, to have ice in my drink and to have a regular cup of coffee once in awhile. I took a walk one day and it was windy, I was so scared because it was the first time out in the wind for me in a long time. I hurried home, but never got even a tinge of pain. Yay! For all of you and I am happy to be on that road myself!
So glad for the people who’s MVD’s were successful, unfortunately mine wasn’t, I had great hopes, and never ever thought it wouldn’t work, but here I am two years (to the day) still struggling, I prey and hope that there will be a successful solution in my life time, I am so glad you still contribute to the site, it gives us all hope… Love to you all,
Wow, that is wonderful. I am rejoicing with each of you. Keep sharing your experiences please. Hugs
Happy Anniversary!
So very happy for you!
Cindy
Thank you so much, Footprints! I'm actually at the 20 month mark now and still zero pain. I'm beyond grateful for the success of my surgery and my awesome neurosurgeon. I've living my life like I never have before - appreciative and grateful in so many ways. I pray for all those that still suffer and wish to offer hope. I am committed to staying put on this forum to offer my support any way I can. Thank you all for an amazing support group that saw me through my worst months in pain and helped me to find my path to where I am now.
Thank you Mybell (and everyone else) for caring and taking your time to offer your support!
Also I just read the other posts about their successful MVDs and want to say congrats! I’m so happy for all of you!
Anne I’m so sorry to hear that yours didn’t work out. I pray there will be something found that will help all of us with face pain and soon!
My bell,
So happy for you! I'm coming up on my Mvd 1st year anniversary in July. I pray for all of us, that this horrible pain will never return, and that those in pain will find relief. I too am committing to stay on the board and support those still suffering in hopes that anything I can offer of information will be helpful.
Ms.Minny I'm so happy for you!!
Thanks for sharing!
Hello there and congrats on your anniversary and feeling well again! So amazing! I am two weeks of out MVD with no TN but I am totally numb on the right side, blurry vision on right, dizzy - vertigo, hearing is good, no real pain managing well with meds and just wondered if you had these symptoms and if so how long did it take for them to go away? TY! Nicole in VT
This is so great to read! I am three weeks out of MVD surgery and totally numb and totally scared. Trying to keep the faith that I will recover like all of you and not have permanent paralysis or a return of my TN. Please pray for me! Nicole in VT
This is so great to hear! I am 5+ weeks post op MVD and can use all the encouragement I can get! Thanks and prayers to all! Nicole in VT
Been five years since my MVD and still pain free. So happy for your success! :)
Thrilled for you! I am 1 year and 3 mo. pain free since my MVD Surgery. So Glad to have my life back! I am so happy for you Too!
Thanks, all! Don't know if you noticed but this post is from a year ago. I hit my 2 year anniversary since my successful MVD surgery in 5 days :). So happy that I have my life back and a life now that I am trying to do my part to give back to the TN community. I recently published an article on my TN story to celebrate these two years pain-free and mostly to help raise awareness about TN. The story is linked on this site under TN Basics>Personal Store but here it is in case you haven't yet seen it or had a chance to read it . . . Trigeminal Neuralgia: How I Survived the Worst Pain Ever. Thank you all that have read it and given me your awesome feedback!
