You wont live that way permanently , the water will dry up, if it doesnt get better in a couple days, go to your ENT or primary care and get some steroids and nasal spray. The combo of the two cleared it up for me pretty quickly. It sucks and makes you miserable in recovery, but it will be better soon!!!
Keep us posted, get some rest and dont push it!! You will feel great in a couple of weeks!!
I know this is a long time after this discussion started, but was wondering about post-MVD hearing loss… My neurosurgeon wrote in my referral that I may experience short term hearing loss in my left ear, despite my MVD being carried out on my right side… You are the first person I’ve seen that experienced non MVD hearing loss… Is this a possibility?

Following my MVD, I had some hearing loss on my MVD side and greater loss along with tinnitis on my non MVD side. Neither lasted long and my hearing is now as it was pre MVD.
Molly, If I remember correctly, the way the nerves function from the brain stem, the primary area affected by nerves that branch to the right is on the left side, and vice versa. I've heard of occasional cases where hearing loss was temporary after an MVD, and a relative few in which it was long-term. The inside of your head is "a very small place to work", (from the title of a book by Peter Janetta, the popularizer of MVD in its early use).
