has anyone used baclofen my doctor he wants me to start a 1/2 pill 3 times and work up to 1 pill 3 times a day i have not started it i am afraid it will make me tired and my other meds already do that Anyone else take this med and suggestions or advice ????
I tried to take Baclofen. After two days I had to stop. It made me so sleepy that I had to have someone come pick me up from work. I kept falling asleep. BUT, I am very sensitive to ANYTHING that will cause drowsiness. I did read that it is supposed to work.

Many, many on here are on this. To counter-act my drowsiness on a different med
I asked neuro for Ritalin to give me energy. Low dose, only took them when I really needed to be on my toes.
Hi Ayre,
I just recently started Baclofen a few weeks ago, I noticed some drowsiness, not much, but I also experienced nausea, this too passed, but was there off and on as I increased the dose.
I was given 10mg and told to increase by 10mg every 3-4 days up to 70mg.
It wasn’t until I got to 50mg this past week that I finally noticed significant relief.
I’m also on 1600mg Tegretol CR ( slow release)
My pain on Tuesday hovered between an 8-9… ( it has been like that for upwards of 8 weeks, i was done! A few times my pain hit 10!!!)
Took the 50mg dose Wednesday for first time by Thursday evening I was at a 3-5 pain today and yesterday I’m a 1!
It’s fantastic! I read somewhere that Baclofen boosts the effectiveness of Tegretol when it is taken at a dose of 50mg-60mg. I decided at 40mg, that I would go 10mg more ( with my neuro’s advice) I’m glad I did. I hope this lasts…
Other than aprox 2 days of drowsiness and intermittent nausea, I haven’t felt any adverse effects.
Hang in there, I hope it does the same for you.
(( hugs)) mimi
