Has anybody take Baclofen? Side effects? Success?

It has been suggested to me that I begin taking Baclofen in addition to Lamictal. Does anyone have any positive or negative feedback on Baclofen. I am interested in hearing if it has worked for anyone as a co-therapy or on its own and if there are any negative, persistent side effects. Eg... sleepiness, lethargy, memory problems, etc...

Thanks for your input & help! Best to all. Johanna

Johanna,

I "m taking baclofen now. It really has helped me to relax my face. I enjoy taking it before bed because it helps me slept better. It takes a while to get use to it, during the day because it can make you tired. However if you have problems sleeping, I would give it a try.

Thanks Kim.

I haven't tried it yet. I am now taking Lamictal & Tegretol and am having some benefits. The weather has thrown me for a loop the last several weeks but I am hanging in there. I'm glad to hear it works for you. Yes, I have trouble sleeping so it might be a benefit for me. I am still keeping Baclofen as an idea for the future... Hope you're well! Johanna

I just started taking it a day and a half ago and I have been increasingly taking gabapentin for the past 5 months, and so far I am a little bit lightheaded, out of it, and weak. I am working on my laptop and I just feel a bit slow and weak, but I am having a shock right now and it feels a little more dim, but I think that’s because of the combination of medications. I am taking 1 10mg dosage 3x a day with 900mg of gabapentin also 3x a day. At this point, gabapentin makes me dizzy and in the past few week I have also felt nauseous. I think the side effects will depend on your dosage and I an curious if your weight and size will affect it. Anyway, it’s good to test it out when you do not have high stakes things to do for work, or driving. After a couple of hours I feel I can function a bit better.
I hope this helps!
