Mayo or U of W in Madison WI

Has anyone heard or know which would be better to go to? Mayo or U of W in Madison? I am tired of Drs in Rockford IL not understanding TN. They either want me to change lifestyle (which would be to crawl into a hole) or have nerve block in Peoria. Thats only because of the affiliation with OSF and there is no one that do it here. Thanks for any help

I know that of the two - Michigan has more TN specialists than any other Mayo. I chose not to go there because of all the red tape and chose Dr. Casey in Michigan instead - whose done thousands of procedures.

Just wondering where you decided to go? I saw a UW neurosurgeon who wants to proceed with MVD, but only does a few per year. I have a Mayo appointment for second opinion in two weeks. Thought about Foredtert instead. The drive and time off is hard, but I will do what I need to do. Just thought I would try to have surgery done by someone who does more than 6-7 per year.
